Terms and Conditions for Schoolpool

Welcome to Schoolpool. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Schoolpool carpool service (“Service”). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

  1. General Conditions
    • 1.1 Schoolpool is a platform that facilitates carpooling arrangements. Schoolpool does not provide transportation services and is not a transportation carrier.
    • 1.2 Users must be at least 13 years old to register and use the Service. Users under the age of 13 may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
  2. User Responsibilities
    • 2.1 Users are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary licenses, insurance, and permits to operate a vehicle.

  3. Liability
    • 3.1 Schoolpool, any schools using the Service, and any applicable people or entities (“Covered Parties”) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from any aspect of your use of the Service.
    • 3.2 Covered Parties do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
    • 3.3 Covered Parties are not responsible for actions, conduct, or behavior of any user of the Service.
    • 3.4 Covered Parties are not liable for any damages or injuries resulting from carpooling arrangements made through the Service.
  4. Indemnification
    • 4.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Covered Parties from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
  5. Disclaimers
    • 5.1 The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Covered Parties disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  6. Modifications to the Service and Terms
    • 6.1 Schoolpool reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
    • 6.2 Schoolpool may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
  7. Governing Law
    • 7.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your applicable region, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

  9. Use of School Name and Affiliation
    • 9.1 By registering for the Service as a representative of a school or using a school-affiliated email domain, you grant Schoolpool the right to display the name, logo (if applicable), and general information about your school on our website, marketing materials, and other communications, solely for the purposes of identifying participating institutions and promoting the Service.
    • 9.2 If at any point your school wishes to revoke this permission, please contact us at schoolpool.llc@gmail.com, and we will promptly remove such references within a reasonable timeframe.
  10. Privacy and Data Collection
    • 10.1 Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
  11. Termination of Access
    • 11.1 Schoolpool reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that Schoolpool believes violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise unlawful or inappropriate.

  13. No Guarantee of Match or Availability
    • 13.1 Schoolpool does not guarantee that users will find or be matched with a carpool partner. Availability of matches may vary and is not guaranteed.
  14. Feedback and Suggestions
    • 14.1 Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas submitted to Schoolpool may be used for any purpose without compensation or attribution. By submitting such materials, you waive any claims related to their use.
